Ways of Seeing

Ways of Seeing is the Association’s annual one-day conference for A level students and teachers, which currently takes place in partnership with The National Gallery in London. Started in 2004, this popular annual event is a unique opportunity for those teaching or studying History of Art or Art & Design at A level to come together to discover and discuss art and ideas. The day includes talks, discussions and workshops on ways of thinking about art in relation to a specific theme.

This event is open to all A level teachers and students. Since 2013 Ways of Seeing has received support from The Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars. This education grant enables us to offer 100 free tickets for teachers and students at state maintained sector schools who want to attend the event. Ways of Seeing is a popular event which sells out quickly and frequently attracts over 300 delegates.
