A Day About Looking

October 13, 2018

About Looking is our new young people’s event for art & design students in Years 10-12 (age 14-17). It will be held at the Award-winning Nottingham Contemporary gallery on Saturday October 13.

Built around a core of creative workshop sessions that are both engaging and hands-on, About Looking is a day all about inspiration, experimentation, and thinking about art.

Nottingham Contemporary is one of the largest contemporary art spaces in the UK and one of the most important cultural venues in the East Midlands region and we hope this new day About Looking will become a firm fixture in the education calendar.

Go to our Eventbrite page for the full programme and tickets.
Students attend FREE of charge and teacher tickets from £10.

About Looking will also include a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) event for teachers that attend and provide art history resources for art lessons at Key Stage 3-5 and how to use art history across the curriculum. The CPD will be delivered by Anne-Louise Quinton (University of Leeds | Plan, Prepare, Provide) and Sarah Phillips ( Art History in Schools )

The event is led by the Association for Art History in partnership with the Department of Cultural, Media, and Visual Studies at the University of Nottingham.
