Creative Encounters: Art in the Archives will explore the interaction between archives and the visual and performing arts.

The BRA has assembled an impressive list of speakers for its 2020 annual conference, with expertise drawn from different facets of the world of the visual arts – an eclectic mix of archivists, researchers and artists.
Come along and listen to Alexia Kirk (V&A), Charlotte Brunskill and Jenny Hill (Paul Mellon Centre), Victoria Lane (Shakespeare’s Globe), Mark Pomeroy (Royal Academy of Arts), Toby Treves (Modern Art Press), Georgia Bottinelli (Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery), Alan Crookham (National Gallery), Sir Charles Saumarez Smith (Royal Drawing School), Michael Takeo Magruder (Artist and researcher), Sarah Haylett (Tate), and Emilie Cloos (TNA).
A free place is offered for the best submission on the benefits of attending the conference by new professionals, whether archivists or historians. Submissions should consist of a brief statement of career to date and reasons for applying. They should be emailed to email@example.com by 6 March.
