Emerging Perspectives in Art History and Visual Culture

March 19 2020

New Undergraduate and Postgraduate Masters/MSc Conference to be held on March 19-20, 2020 in Edinburgh.

The conference aims to provide emerging scholars with a platform to present their research at a key moment in their careers. Our emphasis is upon providing a supportive, nurturing environment with mentoring workshops and networking events.

This conference is a great opportunity for students to establish their first networks, both with peer groups in their university and beyond. Moreover, it is a chance to see examples of academic presentations, gain an awareness of different approaches in art history and visual culture, and experience being a part of the academic community.

The conference includes a full day of presentations, Keynote from Prof Kathryn A. Smith of New York University, and associated talks, workshops and exhibition visits.

Tickets and full programme available here on Eventbrite.

The conference is a partnership between the The University of Edinburgh and Association for Art History and is the first initiative of the Association for Art History Student Network.
