“Impressionism at 150: New Views from around the World” will raise such questions as: What do twenty-first century audiences now look to see in impressionism? What new narratives about impressionism are being told on exhibition walls? How do histories of impressionism, past and present, compare across national, linguistic, and cultural lines? How does impressionism function as a global modern art in the global marketplace?
