Part of the 2026 Marylebone Minds – Past and Present lecture series, this illustrated evening lecture explores the history of The London Sketch Club and its long association with Marylebone.

The talk will examine the cultural and artistic context of the Club’s foundation and development, tracing its role as a meeting place for prominent illustrators, cartoonists, and commercial artists. Members have included figures such as John Hassall, Edmund Dulac, W. Heath Robinson, Terence Cuneo, Peter Blake, and Michael Foreman.
