Association for Art History Fellows
Call for Nominations
Do you know an art history star? We have launched a new programme to recognise significant achievement in art history. We invite your help in nominating people whose work deserves to be honoured as a Fellow of the Association for Art History.
These awards will reflect the broad and inclusive field of art history which the Association strives to support. Those up for nomination may include:
- academics (in the areas of art history, visual culture, material culture, critical theory, and the history of architecture, photography or design)
- those who promote and bring public support and attention to the subject such as journalists or public figures
Who can propose nominations
We invite nominations from members of the Association for Art History. We are not prescriptive of the form of the nominations, but we do limit them to 500 words and ask that they address how the proposed honouree has contributed to their area of speciality or to the field in general and/or promoted the objectives of the Association. Nominations can be suggested for people at any stage of their careers.
Fellows will be chosen from among the nominations by a panel of respected peers in the field. Once chosen, honourees will be announced early next year and the awards will be made at our 2020 Annual Conference in April. We expect to honour two to three Fellows per year.
Please send nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, 22 November 2019.
