DACS launches Zero-Rate Tariff for Images for Academic Journals

Good news for those publishing research with images. Following our work with DACS, a zero-rate tariff for images to be published in academic journals will be made available from 2 April 2020.

This will apply to requests which come from an established UK academic for image use in peer-reviewed articles presenting original research and appearing in journals with a circulation under 4,000.  A license will still have to be obtained through DACS, but there will be no charge. Images published in our journal, Art History, will qualify for the license.

We are very pleased indeed by this move and we extend our great thanks to our colleagues at DACS and their artist members for helping to lessen the financial burden of academic publishing.
