Call for articles – Anuario del Departamento de Historia y Teoría del Arte, 2026

The journal Anuario del Departamento de Historia y Teoría del Arte of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid invites researchers, scholars, and academic professionals to submit article proposals for forthcoming issues devoted to Art History, image theory, visual culture, cultural heritage, material culture, and theoretical and methodological approaches to art from any chronological or geographical perspective. Aimed at specialists in Art History and related disciplines, the journal stands as a key platform for critical reflection and high-quality research, distinguished by its inclusion in prestigious international databases such as Scopus, which ensures broad academic visibility and recognition. Submissions must consist of original and unpublished work that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field and must not be under consideration elsewhere. Articles may be submitted in Spanish, English, French or Italian, and manuscripts should follow the journal’s official formatting and style guidelines. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process in accordance with established academic standards.
