PLAN PREPARE PROVIDE
Art Teacher Residential Course | University of Leeds | 12 – 14 July 2021
Plan, Prepare, Provide: Art Teachers Residential offers a unique opportunity for teachers and their schools to improve their delivery of both academic and practical art lessons and to build upon their art historical knowledge. Now in its fourth year, this two and a half day residential course provides critical advice, insight and experience from current art and art history teachers, academics and arts professionals.
Participating in the Art Teachers Residential enables teachers to:
• engage with pro-active ways to develop your teaching and artistic practice
• build networks, and share ideas and experiences with peers
• improve delivery and results on the written element of the Art A Level
• develop new ideas for planning
• integrate ideas from art by past and contemporary artists into art lessons with confidence

Plan Prepare Provide is a partnership programme between the Association for Art History and the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds.
The Residential is free of charge including all refreshments and accommodation.
To qualify for this course, you must:
• be teaching in a secondary or sixth form school or college
• be a qualified teacher (at any level)

Postgraduate Certificate Opportunity
The residential also provides the opportunity to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in ‘Developing Teachers’ Research and Practice’. This exciting, new programme enables teachers to build on experience, learning and critical thinking from the residential. Designed to be as flexible as possible the certificate is delivered by our partners at the University of Leeds in collaboration with art and art history teachers.
