Started in 1976, the Association for Art History’s Annual Conference is the UK’s leading international event for art history. Bringing together international research and critical debate about art, art history and visual cultures, this key annual event is an opportunity to keep up to date with new research, hear leading keynotes, broaden networks and exchange ideas.
The Annual Conference takes place in partnership with Universities or cultural institutions around the UK, hosting around 300 research papers, professional development opportunities and inspiring keynote speakers, alongside multiple visits, tours and networking opportunities. Connecting around 500 attendees each year, the Annual conference is popular with academics, curators, practitioners, phd students, early career researchers and non-art historians engaged with art history research. The Annual Conference is open to all.
